Rob interviewed on Startup Story Radio

Rob Johnson on April 18, 2008

One of our cofounders, Rob Johnson, has just been interviewed on Startup Story Radio. It’s a great interview — Rob gives a brief history of EventVue and what it’s been like to start an investor-backed company at age 23. Rob also talks about the TechStars experience and how it has helped EventVue to date.

Listen to the podcast below, or click through to the post on Startup Story Radio.

It’s Rob’s first time doing a radio interview, so good natured ribbing is definitely appropriate (comments below or Rob on twitter at @rnjohnson).

A few suggestions

Josh Fraser on April 15, 2008

We just added a new tag recommendation feature to each of our EventVue communities. EventVue will now make personalized tag suggestions for each attendee while they are completing their profile.

We search each profile for keywords that are relevant to your conference and offer personalized and intelligent recommendations. We’ll also suggest some of the most popular tags from your conference.

It’s a simple (but powerful) feature and we’re excited to be be able to offer it today.

EventVue launches for Ecocity World Summit

Rob Johnson on April 14, 2008

Today we’re announcing some exciting news from EventVue. We have launched an EventVue community for Ecocity World Summit!

We’ve been focusing on bringing the EventVue technology to green conferences for the past few months and are proud that Ecocity has selected us to provide the online community for their conference. The Ecocity World Summit is the premier conference focused on sustainable development in our cities and villages for the future. Ecocity World summit is a great example of our efforts to bring EventVue to green conferences and help attendees and organizers work for a cleaner, more sustainable future.

With EventVue, Ecocity attendees will be able to find who they should meet at the conference. Attendees will be able to identify and connect with others who share their same interest, are from a their city, or are looking for the expertise they offer.

If you are attending the Ecocity conference yourself (April 24 - 26), make sure to get in touch with us (using EventVue of course) and let’s meet up while we’re there. We’d love to hear what you think about EventVue and how we can make it better.
